I do get the sense that the Early Majority of creators is coming to the party now, myself included.

People who have held full time jobs and part time creative aspirations for years, and watched the Early Adopters make their money on Blogs, YouTube and Instagram.

People who ask questions like "is it too late to become a successful Medium writer in 2020?".

A combination of internet maturity, the lockdown, job losses and general disenchantment with the 'safe career route' is finally pushing a lot of people into starting online.

There are so many more ways to make money now compared to even 5 years ago. Medium Partner Program, Substack, Patreon, etc.

It will be super interesting to see whether this leads to a major shift long term or simply a minor increase in full-time creators while the rest of us go back to our day jobs.
